Anyway, that is all to say that although we are grateful for all of the hand-me-downs and gifts of clothing for Aviva, these days we have been especially thankful for those that have keep her warm. For example:
Our friend Yuri, during our recent trip to the San Francisco Bay Area, gave Aviva some very happy, rainbow-colored leg warmers by BabyLegs. These are apparently all the rage now, so I was very excited for Aviva to be so fashionable!
Ok, I know she looks a bit odd in these photos. We didn't have much time today, so we just slipped the BabyLegs on over what she was wearing - which we later realized was an outfit that is way too small. For the record, her pink hoodie is 3-6M by babyGap, her pants are 12M from Macy's, and her lavender hat is 3-6M from babyGap. We had also just put some Vaseline on her face to protect her from the wind (we were getting ready for a walk.) So she looks a little shiny. The hoodie, pants, and socks are from the Sevin family. Thanks to them for the clothing and hat, and to Yuri for the legwarmers. We love their rainbow color! Is she a chubby little baby? Or is she a retro-trendy gay activist? Who knows?!
Next, we zipped Aviva into something a bit more comfortable. This white furry, hooded one-piece with ears is in the "petit bebe" line from Woolworths (a South African chain.) I'm not sure who gave us this, however. Forgive us for the lapse in recordkeeping, but thank you, whoever you are!

Aviva shows off her clapping skills...
...and then gets very adventurous.
Don't worry, I caught her! We will be more careful when letting her climb around on the furniture, since she seems to like risky moves. (And yes, you can hear me laughing when she falls.)
Finally, we received this babyGap 12-18 green and purple polka dot hoodie from our friends Dan and Oszel ("scholars in residence").

We call this her "Wild Things" Suit, after the book, Where the Wild Things Are.
Although she is still jetlagged and has been screaming in her crib for 20 minutes, Aviva is nice and warm.
Happy Friday!
