Catherine's Visit and Bushfire

Last week, Peter's cousin Catherine stayed with us a few nights. Catherine is volunteering this summer at Good Shepherd Hospital in Siteki, a small town 1.5 hours away from our house in Mbabane. Catherine brought us many lovely gifts, including chocolate covered cherries, an absolutely gorgeous teapot and some lovely tea, as well as an adorable outfit for Aviva from baby Gap. Here she is modeling it. We'll feature it this week in Fashion Friday as well, since you can't see all the details in this photo.

Thanks to Catherine and her family for the wonderful gifts!

Saturday was bright and sunny, and we went to House on Fire (a live music venue) for the annual Bushfire music festival.
We caught up with Natalie and her kids, Liam and Tessa. They really enjoyed playing with Aviva.
The setting was beautiful. Bushfire takes place in a valley, surrounded by mountains (really, big hills.) Sunset was chilly but picturesque.
As it got later, Liam and Tessa snuggled under some coats and tried to sleep.

Sunday was also a gorgeous day, so we headed back down to Bushfire. Thanks to Jessi for the next two photos.

Aviva enjoyed the music from her perch on Peter's shoulders.

There was time for some Baby Chicken Fights...

Asher decided to attack Uri's beard, rather than play chicken.
Most of the acts are rock or jazz singers or bands, so we were excited when we found out a month ago that the Yale Concert Band would be playing! Yale is Peter's alma mater, so we were doubly excited. They sounded great, and it was actually quite a nice change of pace to hear them.

It was a very full, fun weekend. We're already looking forward to next year!
